TRAINING PROGRAM

CONSORTIUM TRAININGS

The Consortium has partnered with several New York City organizations to provide training resources for our member agencies' staff working and serving clients in the Bronx and citywide. These trainings are an excellent opportunity to enhance the services that we provide while learning about the state of housing, health services, legal options for our clients, and working with diverse communities. All trainings organized through the Consortium are free and available only to staff of our member agencies. If you are unsure if your organization is a member or want to learn more about membership, please visit our membership page.

The Legal Aid Society Bronx Neighborhood Office (LAS) has been an essential partner to the Consortium, providing training sessions (lasting roughly 2 hours each) on the several housing topics to support care coordinators and case managers. Legal Aid provides a housing hotline on Wednesdays from 9am-11am: 646-340-1920

Montefiore Medical Center, a founding member of the Consortium, has been providing trainings on common medical issues facing homeless and unstably housed clients. These trainings are an opportunity to learn more about different diseases and health issues your clients might face and how to support them in managing the disease to stay well.

NYC Correctional Health Services has developed a training for support, mid-level, and medical staff on Culturally Appropriate Engagement and Service Delivery with Puerto Ricans. The training will be made into a webinar and may be available for CE credits. Please check back for details.
